Which are the best restaurants in Las Palmas?
There are so many. But which ones truly deserve your attention, money, and precious holiday time?
The Canary Islands are just incredible and full of cultural experiences. One of the best ones is the delicious food and beverages.
Below, I list the top 5 restaurants that I believe are worth visiting in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria! No doubt, there are many more. However, these are selected based on food experience, money value, customer service, and a few more factors. Each one of them is unique and with beautiful concept.
There are two sections depending on which part of the city you are staying in. The first one is the “new town,” near Las Canteras beach, and the second part focuses on the old town and the neighbourhoods of Vegueta and Triana.
So let’s check them out!
The best restaurants around Las Canteras beach
1. Amigo Camilo
Legendary as the place with freshest seafood, if you’re a fan, that’s the place to be. You can go up to the counter and choose your own selection of seafood. Amigo Camilo’s view towards El Confital beach is also far from disappointing.
2. Bodegón Pachichi
Bodegón Pachichi was my favourite stop on my way home from the beach. The smell of delicious freshly made food brings you to the cozy wooden interior. It’s super casual, and everyone’s welcome. You can easily find yourself chatting with the group sitting next to you.
3. Tasca Galileo
A cozy interior and a wide variety of wines are not all that Tasca Galileo offers. Many people refer to it as a ‘hidden tapas gem’ as their food menu is extraordinary, and its preparation is on point.
The best restaurants in Vegueta and Triana (The Old Town)
4. La Vegueta De Colón
La Vegueta De Colón is a tiny coffee shop in front of the gorgeous Santa Ana cathedral. Despite the size, they offer delicious tapas, and they know about food presentation. The quiet and authentic surroundings make it a must-visit for travellers. And they’re vegan-friendly!
5. Restaurante Allende Triana
Allende is a chain of restaurants, and the one in the neighbourhood of Triana has a modern interior, standing out from the surrounding restaurants. The menu is mixed and offers traditional Spanish dishes and international cuisine.
So this was my list of favourite restaurants around Las Palmas. They are all fantastic, and if you ask me – I couldn’t recommend one over the other. All of them are with great reviews, and each one has a special touch, which is why they’re on the list of favourites!
